Reading through this book #iambecauseweare has brought more clarity to me. How good #people get silenced, how what you do impacts the lives of others, and how connected we are to each other.
How your life can change in an instant from your normal daily living to becoming a refugee and scrambling for your life, like we see it happening in the northern part of Nigeria, during the #endsars movement, in Syria, people dying in Palestine, Yemen, in Ukraine, and other parts of the world.
I still have a question, why is our history not taught (pre-colonial)? Because if you know where you come from, you will know where you are headed.
There are good people in Nigeria, and we have work to do.
Thank you Chidiogo Akunyili-Parr for writing about your mum #DrDoraAkunyili. The inspirations, the struggles, are stories that I can relate to because I grew up in Nigeria. I am a product of Nigeria and we are all around the globe doing great things.
